Lifting weights getting boring? Going on vacation and don’t have access to a weight training machine? Here are some exercises you can do without using the typical free weights or machines. Use your own weight to perform exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups for your upper body. Use a resistance band to stretch and work your core muscles. Squats and lunges are good for working your lower body. It is hard to see a sizable amount of muscle mass without using weights however, so when doing any exercise you will need to do as many repetitions as you can and reduce your resting period to exhaust the muscles.
One good thing about creating your own workout routine is that you can change up your moves so that you never have to do the same workout two times in a row. Take up a sport like swimming or martial arts because believe it or not, these two ways of exercising can really have a huge impact on your muscles. Or instead of running, try sprinting. Sprinting in sand will especially help build up muscle in your legs. And just because you don’t have access to weights doesn’t mean you can’t use anything, like a sandbag or textbook. All the extra resistance you can add to any workout will give you greater results.
